AVO is a plant-based restaurant at 4 City Blvd #104, Nashville, TN 37209. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit eatavo.com, order from us, book a table, or sign up for our emails, and what we do with it.
We've tried to write this in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email us at annie@eatavo.com and we'll explain it.
What we collect
When you visit our website. Our site runs on Squarespace, which collects basic technical information automatically — your IP address, browser type, the pages you looked at, and how you found us. This is standard analytics and it isn't tied to your name.
When you sign up for our newsletter. Your email address, and your name if you give it to us.
When you order online, book a table, or buy a gift card. These run through Toast, our point-of-sale and ordering provider. Depending on what you're doing, Toast collects your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, order details, and payment information.
When you fill out our feedback form. Our customer feedback survey runs on Google Forms. It asks about your visits, dishes you'd like to see, and how likely you'd be to recommend us. You can answer it without giving your name.
When you email or message us. Whatever you choose to send us, including through social media.
When you order delivery. Delivery orders placed through Uber Eats are handled by Uber Eats under their own privacy policy, not ours.
Payment information
We do not store your credit or debit card number. Card payments are processed by Toast, which handles that information directly. We can see that a payment was made and the last four digits of the card, but we never see or keep the full number.

Who we share it with
We use outside companies to run parts of the restaurant. They only get the information they need to do their job:
Squarespace — our website and newsletter signup
Toast — online ordering, reservations, gift cards, payment processing, and email marketing
Google — the customer feedback form and website analytics
Uber Eats and Doordash — delivery orders
We may also share information if we're legally required to, or if the restaurant is ever sold or transferred.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies — small files stored by your browser — to keep the site working properly and to understand how people use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Emails
If you're on our email list, every message we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you're off the list. You can also email us and we'll remove you.
You may end up on our list if you placed an online order or signed up in the restaurant. Same thing applies — you can leave whenever you want.

Delete your information
Stop sending you emails
Email annie@eatavo.com and we'll take care of it. We may need to verify who you are first, and we may have to keep some records — like transaction history — for tax and accounting purposes.
If you live in California, the European Union, or another place with its own privacy laws, you may have additional rights. Email us and we'll do our best to honor them.
Children
Our website isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe your child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and the companies we work with do the same. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee that information sent over the internet is completely safe.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Substantial changes will be noted on this page.
